Blue spit up on her pajamas last night.  So I went and got her another pair to put her in.  My husband then asks me, "Why don't you just dress her for the day?".  Am I the only one who doesn't like to dress their kids up everyday?  The girls and I have been sick for over a week now and I haven't gotten out of my PJ's that whole time.  I have dressed the girls more then I have gotten dressed myself.

I'm really dropping my head in shame.

Unless I have to go somewhere real quick, I don't get dressed in anything beside my tshirt and Pajama pants.  I know it's horrible, but I feel better in my comfy clothes.  (I'm between sizes in clothes.  I have NO PANTS that fit right.  Either too small or too big.)  The kids aren't going anywhere either.  It's a red air day outside again and I hate to have them breath that in if they don't have to.

I receive the under achiever award for the year of 2010.  Thank you, thank you. . .

So I have started to ride again. It has been 1 1/2 years since I last rode. I thought that I was going to be able to ride a lot during my pregnancy. That was before I found out I was having two. I found out two days after I had just shown a full day of eventing. I guess it was a great way to end it. We went and did a trail ride up by Snowbasin. The leaves were all changing and it was beautiful weather. Couldn't have asked for a better way to start it off. These are my babies. They are great horses, and have been great fun to play with.

I have wondered if when the girls grow up if they will like to ride. I really hope they do, but I'm sure if they won't I'll be ok too. It's probably cheaper. Everyone have a great holiday weekend!

I'd like to blame the fact that I haven't blogged for awhile on the unhappy circumstance of my computer crashing. BUT we all know that I'm just horrible at blogging on a regular basis. So my computer decided that it wanted a 3 week vacation. Which would have been fine if it had just asked me before going. Thankfully it was just Windows that had problems, so that we could keep all 3000 plus pictures I have on here. I really need to get a system of backing things up. I'm sure I'll get to it one of these days. Right? Probably not.
Any who, we have had lots of things going on! Girls are doing great, and thankfully I have a lot of help with them! Being a mom has been wonderful, and the girls find new ways to entertain me everyday. And we have been having beautiful fall weather! FINALLY! Tyler is taking off to deer hunt all weekend and I have to find things to keep us from going stir crazy. If anyone has any ideas, we would love to hear them.
So my lovely SIL Holly, has inspired me to try my hand at refinishing furniture. She is absolutely fabulous at crafty and artsy things. And I aspire to be like her everyday. So I'm looking for a dresser or a really classy chair to refinish on KSL. I will blog about these every so often (since I have so much time to refinish things) and let you know what I have been up to. I'd like to get my creativeness flowing again. I am also wanting to get out and take pictures, so if there is anyone who would like to join me, just let me know. Have a wonderful week!

Just a quick blog post. I wanted to post some of the pictures I have been messing around with. Now that I have a little time, I love playing around with them. The first two are of the girls in Oregon on the ocean. We had a great time there!

The girls love camping! I couldn't have asked for anything more. These two are ready to head out! This is a trip up to Snake River when we go run the river for a week. This year we were trying to surf the Big Kahuna backwards. We didn't quite get it, but we will next year!

We are so blessed with beautiful, healthy girls. Also we found out this spring that Tyler is getting into nursing school! He starts on the 25th, a whole year ealier than anticipated! Life is good!

Short Year!

So I thought that because it had been a year (almost) that I should probably update my blog. :) I think it has to have been the most eventful, hard, joyous, and weird year I've ever had in my life. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.
.
This is Elli Ann. She is very playful, dramatic, and full of laughs and smiles. I could always tell where she was before I gave birth. She kept me most nights (while I was pregnant and after). She has mastered the superman and is always experimenting with new noises that she can make. She recently has become infatuated with her hands. She always knew they were there, but now she is always taking a closer look at them, cross eyed. :)

Dad fell asleep during conference, so Elli thought that would be a good idea as well. Chole and I are the die hards.
.
Back in the day when Elli would just sit there.

This is our Chloe Blue. She is shy, quiet, bashful, and wonderfully sweet. And I could NEVER tell where she was when I was pregnant. It took the doctor 5 minutes to finally pull her out from under my rib cage. She did NOT want to come out. Chloe likes to sleep. Which is really fine with me. She is a very happy baby, when she is sick she never complains. She was allergic to my milk, and we didn't realize it till she was around 3 months old, cause she never fussed or complained.

Love the hands. It reminds me of Mr. Burns from the Simpsons.

I have a very hard time thinking this is what I was like for the better part of 7 months. This picture was taken 4 weeks before delivery. By week 39 I couldn't walk more than a few feet before I had to sit down. Thankfully Tyler was home to push me around in a wheelchair. :) It is a dream to have him home still. I am so grateful that everything turned out wonderful this year. I couldn't ask for more than healthy babies and a wonderful husband!

Week 12

So I'm already wearing maternity clothes. When I married Tyler I thought that I would be luckier then my sisters, and not grow a big belly when I was pregnant, because my husband is smaller then I am. And about half the size of my brother in-laws. SO by logical thinking, I would grow a cute tiny little 6 pound healthy baby. Right?? Call it wishful thinking if you must. I think it's just Gods and Dad's way of playing a practical joke. They have succeeded in making me into a blob that's only good for 20 minute increments, with 4 or 5 hours of rest between!

Today is Tyler's Birthday!

Tyler is such a wonderful man. I'm grateful for having him as a husband, and I know he is going to make a great father to our cuties!

Saturday, June 13, 2009

Just letting everyone know that I'm pregnant. :) I'm on week 10, and I had my first ultrasound pictures on Friday. I also had another suprise.

I should probably have known that with both of our families having twins in pretty much every Grandma's family, for both Tyler and I, that I would be lucky enought to have twins also. :) It's still hard to wrap our heads around, but Tyler and I couldn't be happier. Bring on the long sleepless nights!!

Just letting everyone know that Tyler got promoted to staff Sgt! I'm so proud of him, and everything that he's stood for. Hearing him talk about how the people in Iraq are so happy and appreciative for America to be involved in taking their country back from terrorists, it makes me so grateful for everything that we have. That we don't have to be afraid to leave our house to go get food or provide for our families. There are so many people that want to help fight for their country to make a better life for themselves and their loved ones. Tyler, just want to let you know that I'm so lucky that I could have found such a wonderful and caring person. I'm so proud of everything that you have accomplished in your life, and I can't wait for you to come home to see me all fat! I love you!!

So I ended up getting the Canon Rebel XS. I haven't been out to play with it yet, but I think I'll take it to go ride today. I'll report back later tonight. I just got the lense that came with it, but plan on investing in a Macro and portrait lense in the future. Just want to thank my great sister in-law Holly who helped me. I think that this will be a great all around camera. And I couldn't have done it without ya Hol. Hope that you get feeling better!

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

I'm sorry but Tyler has asked for me to post some pictures of us so that he can see them while he's in Iraq. They don't let him onto any of the social networking sites, so this is the only place he can see them. So again, I apologize. Also, these are the only pictures of us that I have on this computer, so I'll try and get some new ones on here later.

How Now Brown Cow?

So a lot of blogs have gone private since I've last been on here. So if you please, I would like access to those that won't mind me reading. Also I think that I'm going to go private as well. If you would like to read mine let me know and I'll add you on. It's kind of pointless to go private if no one is able to go on and read. :)

Weigh In

Canon or Nikon??

I have been thinking about getting back into photography lately. My camera that I have from high school isn't doing it. So I would like some opinions about what types of cameras to look into. I'm leaning more toward Canon, but haven't looked into any models. I'm more into black and white photos, but will do a lot of color too. Also I'm mostly wanting to study action, like sports or equestrian riding, but need a lot of detail. Any input is appreciated.

Horse girl is back!
.
I finally got back into showing! I have to say that I don't think I realized how much I really missed it. I did two shows, and I'm sorry for not posting about the first one. I know everyone was dying to see it. But then Holly beat me too it. I just want to say thank you to my family for going and supporting me. It really meant a lot. Tyler was the best groom a girl could ask for! Here is my beautiful and talented horse.
Isn't she cute! Her name is Sanka and she IS the Wonder Pony! That would be Mom's hat on her head. You can have your kids pull on this horses ears, pull her hair, poke her nose, and she doesn't even care. I have laid down and fallen asleep on the back of this horse. I got a first place on the first show I did in South Jordan, then I just did my first full event in Ogden, in which I came in second. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait for the season to start next year!

3. A supporting husband that won't ever let me grow up

Be Proud!!

Our kitchen is a mess!

So we had a unnatural amount of tomatoes in our garden this year. I think Tyler fed them some radioactive green slime or something. :) Someone had the brilliant idea to make salsa since we were also growing peppers. So that is how my kitchen was turned into a disaster zone!

Once we got everything chopped up, it was actually kind of fun! Until we found out that since we had put garlic into our salsa that we had to put it into a pressure cooker. We figured this out after we already did that bath thing. So we are heating them up again. Mom gave us this awesome recipe from a lady at her work and it's really good. I just hope that it's not going to explode on us! It's steaming pretty hard right now.

Check out our ghetto stove! So we have been doing this since five o'clock this evening. It's now 9:30. But there is an end in sight! Tyler just said it's going to be about 45 mins now! Yeah! I feel like little Sally Homemaker. I made a whole bunch of Zucchini bread last night and now I'm canning! Wish us luck!

What instrument do you resemble most?

The ward that Tyler and I attend is in the Woods Cross High School area. Most of the people in my ward either was a student in the band or is a parent of a band member. I love all the stories that they have told me about Dad and Mom. This one happens to be the latest thing stumbled upon. Kelli (who also happens to be in some of my classes for nursing) was a student of Dad. Her daughter happened to come across this.

1. Videos of Dad that I've never seen before.

2. Good friends and their stories.

3. The look on Tylers face while he watches this.

A Quick Get Away

So earlier this week I really wanted to get out before school started again. I have been working a lot of over time and haven't had time to do anything else. I know, I know. You guys have been checking my blog every day, I'm sure, to see if I've posted anything. . I'm sorry to have let you down. :)

Sadly we didn't catch any fish. But I can honestly say for probably the first and only time in my married life that our hearts weren't into it. And when I say "our" I mean Tyler. Tyler just got into the Fablehaven books. He usually likes to take his time reading things, but this is the 3rd book and he started the series 6 days ago. I just got done with the Twilight series so I started on book one of Fablehaven. Take note that these events that I've taken into evidence with this picture will probably never happen again. There have been times when I have physically had to pry the fishing pole from his fingers.

We had the Benadryl and Prednisone ready just in case. But thankfully Misha came back with no bee stings. I had enough fun the last time that happened. I think that the last time has taught her not to go chasing after them. Although, in this picture I can almost see her having an internal argument about whether or not to go after them.
These bees were everywhere. The constant buzzing made it sound like we were in that movie with the killer bees chasing after everyone. The bees collect the pollen and keep them in sacks on their legs. They fly around with huge orange balls weighing them down. You could hear the lower buzzing from the ones that had to work harder to stay in the air. They looked extremely happy.

This picture does not do this justice. Misha does this thing where she digs around in the dirt to try to get it fluffed up. But after she fluffs she pushes the dirt back out so she can do that little circle thing to lay down. She has gotten it so bad sometime that her whole face is completely white. I think it's safe to say that she's a little spoiled. She won't lay down in that spot until every rock has been removed. Usually by the time she is done with it we are moving to the next spot.

1. No Swelling!
2. Being able to find the LAST camp site in Tony Grove.
3. Finally being able to have the day off.

Sunday, August 3, 2008

So it's been an interesting weekend.

Misha has a history of allergic reactions. Tyler went for a day hike and this is how my dog came home. I took this picture two hours after we gave her the drugs. Just imagine her eyes looking like an old Asian monk. This isn't actually the worst she's had it either. I feel like we have a child sometimes when she gets sick. But I guess it's sort of a warm up for when we actually have some.

1. Best bestest Mom in the whole world

2. Benadryl and Prednisone

3. An awesome animal ER that know me well enough to give me advice over the phone.

.
.
Leave me a memory about you and I! First time meeting, funny, sad, crazy events etc.
Here is how you play:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

1. Family

2. Jansen and Holly are going to be coming to visit!

3. The best Mom that anyone could ask for.

Sad News
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man that rote "The Hokey-Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in, and then the trouble started.
Shut up. You know it's funny. I'll have updates for last week in a couple days. :)
